The Nichiyu (formerly known as “NYK”) brand is a world leader in the Electric Forklift Industry.

The name “Nichiyu” stands for the short cut name of Nippon Yusoki Co., Ltd. in Japanese.

“NYK” brand was till the year 1993 mostly in the overseas market, representing the English abbreviation of the same company.

Found and established in 1937 in Kyoto, Japan, Nippon Yusoki Co., Ltd. “Nichiyu” has been an industry leader, contributed to development in material handling systems by including introduction of the first Japanese Battery-Powered forklift in 1939, as well as the first Japanese Reach Forklift in 1958.

Supported by the latest electronics technology developments throughout its 70 years history, Nichiyu is thriving as a top manufacturer in Japan, deliver Forklift Trucks and Material Handling Equipments and Systems for Japanese and World markets. Nichiyu’s main factory locates in Kyoto, Japan, and we do have other manufacturing facilities in several different countries.

Nichiyu Forklift Europe SAS, the European Center for Nichiyu, was established in Genas, France, near Lyon City in July 2007 in order to enhance and meet distributors, dealers and customer’s requirements, covering Entire Europe, Africans and neighbor countries.

Nichiyu Forklift Europe SAS (in short “NFE”) provides Marketing, Product Support Servicing and Spare Parts Supplying from the France facility.
